Lion in my Way, from eeboo, is a cooperative problem-solving game for 2-5 players, ages 5+. Games take approximately 15 minutes to play. The game includes 25 Path Cards, and 100 Tool Cards. Players will need to use their imagination and be willing to work together to figure out how to get past obstacles and make their way home. Start by placing one Path Card in the center of play. These include obstacles like a Thunderstorm, Toll Booth, or the game's namesake, a Lion. Each player is dealt a hand of Tool Cards. These will help players get past these obstacles. These are not your typical survival adventure tools and instead include items like bubbles, a trumpet, pogo stick and a plate full of cookies. Every time there is a new obstacle, players take turns placing tool cards of their choice, and explaining how it can help. Use one or a combination of tool cards to move past that obstacle. Replenish those tool cards, draw a new path card, and continue with the next round. Play with as many path cards you'd like, and once finished, place the home card at the end of all your obstacles. I love games like this - it's cooperation and imagination over a simple roll-the-dice and race-to-the-finish type of game. Kids will challenge themselves and work together in order to get past that lion, and on their way to fun.
