Product Description
This toy clock comes with 12 shaped colourful blocks numbered from 1 to 12. Each block has its own identical cut out in the round baseboard. The numbered blocks fit into the recessed spaces and form the numbers of the clock counting from 1 to 12.
In the centre are the wooden clocks hands. These hands can be moved to show any time. So for instance you can ask a child to show you what 9 o'clock looks like or you can set a time to say at 10 0'clock we will go to the park.
Time is a very difficult concept for children and this clock will help them to begin to understand and give you a way to explain it.
The colours chosen for this wooden clock are useful to help explain how we tell time, with the 12 and 6 being the same colour blue. When the big hand points to blue it is either something o'clock or something half-past. The 3 and 9 also share a colour, quarter past or quarter to. Very well thought through. In the centre there is also a ring which shows minutes numbered from to 60 in increments of 5.
